EA Redwood City is at the core of delivering high-quality video game experiences to millions of players worldwide.

This is not passive testing — it is hands-on quality control during critical stages of game development and release.

We are hiring individuals who can stay focused for long sessions, detect issues quickly, and take ownership of game quality before it reaches players.

The Role

As a Video Game Tester – Localization (English), you are responsible for ensuring the linguistic and functional quality of EA games before release.

You are one of the final checkpoints between development and the player experience.

You will be:

  • Testing game builds and identifying language or text issues

  • Verifying English localization across UI, menus, and in-game content

  • Reporting bugs clearly and accurately in English

  • Checking grammar, consistency, and context relevance

  • Collaborating with QA and development teams in Redwood City

  • Ensuring all issues are properly documented and resolved

This role requires precision. Small details matter.

If something feels off, unclear, or broken — you are expected to catch it.

Working Hours

  • Standard: 40 hours per week

  • Peak periods may require extended hours or overtime

This Role Is NOT for You If:

  • You lose focus during repetitive or detail-heavy tasks

  • You are not comfortable following structured QA processes

  • You struggle to identify small text or UI issues

  • You treat gaming only as casual entertainment

  • You avoid responsibility for clear reporting

This Role IS for You If:

  • You are detail-oriented and highly focused

  • You notice small mistakes others miss

  • You communicate clearly and professionally in English

  • You can follow structured workflows consistently

  • You take ownership of quality and accuracy

  • You work well within a team environment

Preferred Experience

  • Strong interest in video games (PC, Console, Mobile)

  • Familiarity with AAA titles and game interfaces

  • Basic knowledge of QA or testing processes

  • Comfortable working in a Windows environment

  • Previous QA or localization experience (a plus)

Requirements

  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to follow testing procedures

  • Team collaboration skills

  • Reliability and consistency

Work Details

  • Full-time

  • Remote (Anywhere)

  • Work within EA’s US-based QA and Localization teams

Compensation

$26,000 per year (gross)

Final Note

This role demands focus, consistency, and accountability.

If you can stay sharp, identify issues others overlook, and help ensure games meet high-quality standards before release — you will succeed here.

If not, the level of detail required will quickly become challenging.
